Dat werk deed ik samen met mijn vrouw, Ietje de Vries, vanaf 1996. Voor die tijd hebben wij drie jaar in Zambia en drie jaar in Tanzania gewerkt.<\/p>\n<p>Ons hospice dat nu aan het S\u00fbd in Drachten staat is begonnen in Beetsterzwaag. Als huisartsen waren wij heel blij met dat initiatief en voor de bewoners die van ver kwamen namen wij de taken van de eigen huisarts over.<\/p>\n<p>Vanuit mijn werk heb ik natuurlijk regelmatig te maken gehad met het huidige hospice en heb ik ervaren hoeveel een hospice kan betekenen voor pati\u00ebnten aan het einde van hun leven.
