Historie VPTZ Zuidoost Friesland<\/h2>\n

Stichting VPTZ Zuidoost Friesland is op 4 december 2007 opgericht en is een fusie van:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Stichting Vrijwilligers Terminale Zorg Drachten e.o. (opgericht 06-1-1995)<\/li>\n
  • Stichting Hospice Drachten e.o. (opgericht 17-6-2004)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

    Huisvesting<\/h3>\n

    Vanaf de start in 2005 was Hospice Smelnehaven tijdelijk gehuisvest in het verpleeghuis Iekenhiem in Beetsterzwaag.\u00a0Op 2 december 2008 is door de stichting het pand Het Zuid 20 gekocht. Het kantoor van de Stichting en het Hospice Smelnehaven zijn sinds medio 2009 gehuisvest aan Het Zuid 20 te Drachten, nadat het pand grondig was verbouwd.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Opening Hospice Smelnehaven op 29 juni 2009<\/h3>\n

    De feestelijke opening vond plaats op 26 juni 2009. Het pand is eigendom van de Stichting Hospice Smelnehaven die het tegen een kostendekkende huur aan de Stichting VPTZ Zuidoost Friesland ter beschikking stelt.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Financiering verbouwing Hospice<\/h3>\n

    Voor het financieren van de verbouwing en de inrichting is aan instellingen en fondsen gevraagd het project te ondersteunen. Dat heeft er toe geleid dat de gemeenten uit ons werkgebied, de provincie Friesland en een aantal fondsen de Stichting ruimhartig hebben gesteund zodat het project doorgang kon vinden.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Opening Tuinhuis 26 april 2012<\/h3>\n

    Het Tuinhuis werd op 26 april 2012 officieel geopend. Het Tuinhuis wordt gebruikt voor de opleiding van vrijwilligers, werkoverleg, bijeenkomsten die betrekking hebben op de palliatieve zorg of wordt gebruikt door familieleden van de gasten.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    De financiering hiervan werd ook mogelijk gemaakt door de steun van diverse fondsen en door een bijdrage van de Stichting Vrienden VPTZ Zuidoost Friesland<\/p>\n<\/div>

    2012 Plaatsing bedlift<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Door\u00a0het plaatsen van een bedlift is een lang gekoesterde wens in het hospice in vervulling gegaan. Hiermee kunnen nu ook gasten die met een brandcard moeten worden vervoerd op een comfortabele manier naar de kamer op de bovenverdieping worden gebracht.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Deze lift is mogelijk gemaakt doordat stichting Roparun ons hiervoor met 27.000 euro heeft gesponsord. Een fantastische bijdrage.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    2014 Hospice Smelnehaven uitgebreid<\/span><\/h3>\n

    In 2014 is Hospice Smelnehaven uitgebreid met twee extra gastenverblijven. \u00a0Daarmee hopen we te voorkomen dat we, zoals in 2011 en 2012, mensen die zich aanmelden voor een verblijf in ons Hospice, teleur moeten stellen omdat we geen vrije kamer beschikbaar hebben. Door deze uitbreiding\u00a0kunnen we nu zes gasten in ons hospice verzorgen.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Onderstaande organisaties hebben ons financieel geholpen deze uitbreiding mogelijk te maken:
    \nProvinsje Frysl\u00e2n, Fonds Sluyterman van Loo Ouderenprojecten, Pape-Fonds, Fundatie Luden van Stoutenberg, Oranjefonds, Rooms Catholijk Oude Armen Kantoor (RCOAK), P.W. Janssen’s Friesche Stichting, Meindersma-Sybenga Stichting, Pasman Stichting, Stichting Mitialto, \u00a0Skanfonds, fonds Nuts Ohra, VSB fonds, Ars Donandi en Roparun.<\/p>\n<\/div>
